How to Create Infographics with Parallax Scrolling Effects in Visme [New Feature]

Although it may seem like common knowledge, scientific studies have proven that moving objects (along with bright colors and uncommon shapes) immediately draw our attention.

For example, take a look at the two infographics below. Which draws your attention first?

You probably said the one on the left, right?

To help content creators stand out with animated and interactive content, Visme recently launched a new feature that allows you to create infographics with scroll-activated animations and parallax scrolling effects.

Let’s take a look at how it works:

1 Create your infographic from ready-made blocks or from scratch.

If you haven’t already signed up for Visme, you can quickly create a free account at www.visme.co with just your name and email.

Once you’ve clicked on Create a New Project and chosen Infographics as your desired content format, you can then select the first option to the left: Create from Blank Template.

You’ll then be taken to the Visme editor, where you can choose to create an infographic from scratch or from pre-designed content blocks that you can mix and match according to your content needs.

To follow the latter route, simply hover your cursor over the Add Block option at the bottom of your infographic and click on From Template.

From the pop-up that appears, you can choose any type of content block, including those with images and text, charts and diagrams, icons and text, among others.

2 Generate a URL to share your project internally or publicly.

Once you’ve created your custom layout and inserted your own information, you can then share your project internally or publicly.

Simply click on the Share button at the top-right of your screen. Then click on either the Publish for Web or Share Privately option to generate a link you can share only with select individuals.

3 View scroll-activated chart and object animations.

To preview your project, you can go to the URL generated and see that all objects and charts will be automatically animated.

Simply scroll to view your infographic in its entirety, and you’ll see that all objects will appear one by one on the screen, in accordance with your mouse or touchpad movements. No need to animate them one by one—it’s already been done for you!

4 View automatic parallax scrolling effect.

Also, all infographics will by default display with a parallax scrolling effect, which simply means that the background of your graphic moves at a different speed than the objects in the foreground, creating an eye-catching and attractive-looking 3D effect.
