The Best AI Sales Tools for 2026 and How to Choose Them

The future of sales is the "10x Rep," the one who can close as many deals as ten reps without burning out.

What's the secret behind this success? It's mostly AI, but not for the reasons you might think.

Sales teams today struggle with messy pipelines, weak lead scoring, inaccurate forecasts, and the pressure to personalize at scale.

Manual processes simply can’t keep up, and those slowdowns cost deals.

While your team is manually updating CRMs and guessing which leads to prioritize, competitors using AI are already several steps ahead.

It’s exactly what Reid Hoffman, Co-founder of LinkedIn, meant when he said,

“Departments aren’t trading human jobs; they are preferring humans who can use AI.”

In sales, teams that use AI now have an edge. In this guide, I've put together a list of the best AI tools for sales, including a comparison table and practical tips to help you choose the perfect one for your team's specific challenges.

You’ll also see how Visme helps your team create consistent, on-brand sales collateral, no matter which tool your team chooses.

Table of Contents

Best AI Sales Tools for 2026

  • HubSpot Sales Hub: Best for small to medium-sized teams who don't need heavy customization. Perfect for teams transitioning from spreadsheets or basic CRMs.
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud: Best for enterprise companies with large sales teams.
  • Apollo.io: Best for small to medium businesses that need prospecting and outbound.
  • Gong: Best for mid-market to enterprise companies looking for call analysis and coaching for meetings.
  • ZoomInfo Sales: Best for enterprise companies with high-stakes sales activities
  • Clari: Mid-market to Enterprise companies needing Revenue Orchestration.
  • Visme AI: AI-powered sales enablement content creation for teams of any size

What Are AI Sales Tools Really?

An AI sales tool is any platform, application or software that supports sales teams with AI-powered technology and solutions.

Unlike traditional sales software, AI-powered tools can:

  • Learn from your sales conversations and improve recommendations over time using real-time data.
  • Predict which deals are most likely to close and boost conversion rates.
  • Automatically capture and organize customer data.
  • Generate personalized outreach at scale.
  • Provide real-time coaching during sales calls.
  • Automate repetitive tasks, freeing your team to focus on high-value selling activities.

These capabilities are transforming how modern sales teams operate.

And as Temple Naylor, High Ticket Enrollment Sales Coach, explains, the difference now comes down to who embraces the shift:

“The successful sales professional will be the closers that know how to use AI in their favor versus the closers that will sit on their ass and do nothing until AI is knocking on their doorstep. The first are the ones that are going to stay in this industry long term. They're going to continue to win and they're going to continue to get better and better and better.”

Bottom line: Artificial intelligence is empowering salespeople who use it as a part of their workflow.

How I Tested & Reviewed Each AI Tool

The toughest part of any test-and-review article is choosing which tools to include, especially since we want to offer you the best options for your business or tech stack.

So, to be fair and only share with you the highest rated and most powerful AI Sales Tools, I checked the latest Grid® Report for AI Sales Assistant  from G2 and used their data to build the list.

AI Sales Tool - G2 Sales Grid report screenshot

Source: G2

Now, how did I test them?

  1. For tools with free trials, I created new accounts using my freelance business as the company to focus on. I tried the AI tools available during the free trial and took screenshots to show you.
  2. For the ones without free trials, I watched demos on their websites and videos from users on YouTube. I also read the documentation to get as much information as I could. I share screenshots from videos to give you an idea of what these tools can do.

For all the tools I tested, their free trials and tiers are limited and you’ll need to pay in order to get real results. It seems unlikely that there are any truly free AI tools for sales.

Best AI Sales Tools

1. HubSpot Sales Hub

Best for: Small to medium-sized teams who value ease of use and don't need heavy customization. Perfect for teams transitioning from spreadsheets or basic CRMs.

G2 Rating: 4.4/5 (13,200+ reviews)

The HubSpot Sales Hub is one section of the HubSpot business management platform that covers CRM, marketing, content, sales, commerce, service, data management, automation and reporting.

HubSpot is considered one of the best AI tools for sales and marketing, and offers the following AI-powered features.

  • AI-Powered Prospecting Agent: Analyzes CRM and external data to find leads matching your ideal customer profile. Personalizes outreach based on each prospect’s business needs.
  • AI Meeting Assistant: Gathers relevant CRM and meeting data to help you prepare effectively for sales meetings.
  • Predictive Deal Scoring: Uses deal properties and recent activities to forecast the likelihood of closing. Helps prioritize deals with the highest chances of success.
  • AI-Driven Forecasting & Reporting: Automates creation of sales performance reports. Provides insights into pipeline health to support data-driven sales management.
  • Call Summaries & Actionable Insights: Generates post-call summaries by analyzing conversations. Suggests key follow-up actions and insights to move deals forward.
  • Breeze Assistant: In-platform AI chatbot that helps with anything you might need to do inside HubSpot’s AI sales outreach tool.

Using HubSpot's free subscription, I tested out some of the AI features. I started with the AI Assistant, Breeze and asked if there were any demo videos I could watch to learn about the AI tools without signing up for a paid plan.

Plus, I asked specifically about the AI SDR Agents.

AI Sales Tool - HubSpot Sales Hub

Breeze responded with a link to their AI SDR Agents landing page. From there, I signed up for a demo and went through a wizard that asked a few questions. Then an AI agent opened a chatbot with a video window. It gave me the option to talk to the agent through my microphone, but I decided to type my questions instead.

The AI was thorough and asked many questions. After offering a lot of information customized to my answers, it gradually moved into selling mode. The AI agent began to offer a free trial of HubSpot's Starter Customer Platform. Not going to lie, it was very smooth. I almost subscribed right then and there!

Next thing I did was ask Breeze to help me write my first outreach email, imagining that I had already used the prospecting agent and had a nice list to start with. Prompting the AI Assistant is super easy. I asked it, “Let's write my first outreach email,” and it came back with a list of questions, making it super easy to continue.

And here’s the email it wrote for me.

AI Sales Tool - HubSpot Sales Hub

With a little tweaking here and there, I’d send that. I might just pay for this Customer Starter Platform they’re trying to sell me!

I asked Breeze what to do with the email and it explained how to set up a new email in the Marketing section. And here it is:

AI Sales Tool - HubSpot Sales Hub

Pros

  • Easy-to-use, intuitive interface that doesn’t make you guess.
  • Breeze AI assistant is handy and very helpful.
  • You don't need expert prompting skills because Breeze AI walks you through the process.
  • HubSpot’s AI capabilities extend well beyond sales into marketing, customer service, content creation and automation.

Cons

  • There’s a big price jump from the Starter tier to the Professional tier; from $9 to $90 a month per seat.

Pricing

  • Starter: $9/month/seat
  • Professional: $90/month/seat
  • Enterprise: $150/month/seat

2. Salesforce Sales Cloud

Best for: Enterprise companies with large sales teams

G2 Rating: 4.4/5 (24,700+ Reviews)

Salesforce Sales Cloud is the highest-rated and most used CRM for sales. This sales engagement platform has been around since before the massive AI adoption and has since then incorporated several powerful AI features for its customers.

As a new (free) Salesforce user, the onboarding is smooth. The platform welcomes you with several sample accounts so you can visualize what the dashboards look like when populated. I appreciated this detail because otherwise you’d have to set up clients first to try things out, ensuring you start learning at the right time.

After signing up, I was welcomed into the Lightning Experience but had the opportunity to check out the Classic Salesforce environment. The new one is much better and more intuitive to navigate.

AI Sales Tool - Salesforce Sales Cloud

Now, let’s talk about AI. These are the AI Sales Tools inside Salesforce:

  • Agentforce for lead generation, lead nurturing, pipeline management and sales coaching
  • Agentforce Assistant for in-platform search, guidance, and tool walkthroughs
  • Generative AI to build instructions for AI agents and draft personalized emails
  • Einstein Conversation Intelligence for call insights, call analysis, and coaching recommendations
  • Deal Insights to identify and prioritize the most critical opportunities
  • Predictive Scoring to improve qualification and strengthen forecast accuracy

The Agentforce platform powers AI Agents that primarily operate in the sales environment, but they also support other business functions. Unlike traditional chatbots that follow scripts, you train Agentforce agents with your data first. Then they use the Atlas Reasoning Engine to understand context, make decisions and take actions independently.

These agents can qualify leads, answer customer questions, update records and hand off complex issues to human team members when needed.

Setting up your first agent is simple. The platform walks you through defining what your agent should do (topics), how it should do it (instructions), and what tools it needs (actions). You can test your agent in a preview window, refine its responses and deploy it to your website, Slack, or directly in your CRM.

Agentforce isn’t available on the free account, but Salesforce’s YouTube Channel is full of practical demos and videos. They have a valuable collection that showcases all their AI and non-AI solutions, as well as much more.

All in all, Salesforce + Agentforce definitely lives up to its reputation as the best-rated AI Sales Tool available today. It’s more powerful than the other tools on this list, but some new AI-first platforms like Clari are starting to catch up.

Pros

  • Highly powerful platform with strong predictive analytics and forecasting reporting
  • Can handle large sales teams with a busy pipeline

Cons

  • Steep learning curve for new adopters

Pricing

  • Free
  • Starter: $25/month/user
  • Pro: $100/month/user
  • Enterprise: $175/month/user
  • Unlimited: $350/month/user
  • Agentforce 1 Sales: $550/month/user
  • Agentforce Flex Credits: $500/Per 100k Credits

3. Apollo.io

Best for: Prospecting and outbound for small to medium businesses

G2 Rating: 4.7/5 (9200+ Reviews)

Apollo.io is an ‌AI-first sales platform with a database of 275M+ contacts. It supports both outbound and inbound sales teams with data enrichment and deal execution.

This tool offers a free plan that lets you do more than other tools' free plans.

This was the only one that included prospecting without requiring a subscription plan. I searched for people with “content manager” as a job title and got back a list of 115K people with emails, phone numbers and LinkedIn links. Not bad for a first search.

AI sales tools - Apollo.ai

The thing is, you can’t do much from here apart from visiting these people’s LinkedIn profiles or going to their company websites.

For optimal results with the platform, you have to set it up first by connecting your CRM, inviting team members, building a pipeline and other actions.

What I found a bit confusing was that this setup isn’t presented to you when you sign up.  I found it when trying to do something else in the AI Assistant. That said, not all platforms I tested had a wizard like this that shows you what is still missing in your setup.

AI sales tools - Apollo.ai

The AI in Apollo.io is built on Google Gemini. It offers solutions for researching, writing, engaging and executing sales flows. These are some of the actions the AI in Apollo can take for your sales team:

  • AI-powered, multichannel campaigns in a click
  • Prioritized task lists to maximize selling
  • Workflow automations to identify and scale what works
  • Real-time form enrichment
  • Automated nurture & follow-up sequences
  • Pre-meeting insights to prep in seconds
  • AI-powered call summaries, follow-ups, and task creation
  • Conversation insights & performance dashboards for coaching

To test Appollo, I opened the AI Assistant and asked for help writing an email. It asked me some questions about my goal, objectives and messaging style.

Using my answers, the system built a sequence template for me that starts with an email, continues with a phone call and then asks for a connection on LinkedIn. In the Assistant, Apollo prompts me to finish the sequence by adding contacts and then launching.

AI sales tools - Apollo.ai

What Apollo isn’t, though, is a full-scale CRM. It offers integrations with CRMs such as Salesforce and HubSpot. In these cases, the highest value Apollo brings to a CRM is the quality of the contacts. All workflows and triggers in the CRM can be controlled using Apollo contact data, making personalized selling easier and more effective.

From a high-level view, Apollo is a strong platform for small and medium businesses that can use Apollo on its own. I found it super intuitive, and the constant reminders helped me finish processes and get better results. The pricing is also more accessible than that of other tools on this list, making it more affordable for smaller organizations.

For large companies and enterprise teams, Apollo’s data enrichment tools will help in their CRM, but on its own, it’s not powerful enough. This, simply put, is one of the best AI tools for sales automation and prospecting.

Pros

  • Intuitive interface with prompts and assistance for optimal use
  • Extensive list of rich contacts already in the system to make prospecting easier
  • Powerful email sequence builder
  • Integration with HubSpot’s CRM for data enrichment

Cons

  • The Apollo.io API for integrating with HubSpot is highly technical and will need developer support.
  • Numerous reviewers shared that emails sent with Apollo end up in Spam folder.s

Pricing

  • Free
  • Basic: $49/month/user
  • Professional: $79/month/user
  • Organization: $119/month/user

4. Gong

Best for: Call analysis and coaching for mid-market to enterprise companies

G2 Rating: 4.8/5 (6400+ Reviews)

Gong is an AI Operating System for revenue teams and offers solutions for leadership, RevOps, customer success, enablement and of course, sales. For sales, specifically, it helps with prospecting, pipeline and forecasting.

Like Apollo, Gong is not a full-scale CRM, but sales reps can work in the platform to manage all aspects of communication with prospects. It’s fluid and highly visual, helping reps stay on task toward closing deals by using the data that Gong continually provides.

There’s no free plan to try out Gong, but they offer a detailed video demo that shows a lot of information about how the platform works.

One thing that got my attention was when Sasha Singh, ex-sales rep at Gong, said,

“Rather than opening up a dozen tabs in my CRM, I can view all the information I need to prepare for my day.”

AI sales tools - Gong

So can Gong replace a CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce? Not exactly. According to a detailed comparison review by gralio,

“HubSpot Sales Hub is a better choice for businesses seeking an all-in-one sales and marketing platform with a wide range of integrated tools, especially if they already use other HubSpot products. Gong is a better choice for businesses prioritizing sales conversation analysis and coaching, particularly those heavily reliant on sales calls and seeking to improve team performance through data-driven insights.”

Mainly, what AI does inside Gong is analyze customer interactions on calls, emails and messages.

Using all this data, Gong provides sales reps with valuable information to help them keep the conversation moving towards a close.

Another interesting action I found in Gong is how it highlights warnings inside the pipeline and flags accounts for the reps to look into and try to fix.

AI sales tools - Gong

Gong also does sales coaching well. The same data it uses to support pipeline management also helps sales reps by providing tips on how to talk to specific prospects. Sales leaders can see their entire team’s pipeline and communication results, then use Gong’s AI to support their reps.

AI sales tools - Gong

As one of the newest AI Sales Tools, it does a great job of refreshing the way sales management platforms work. They also just recently announced new AI features that aren’t in the screenshots above because they’re newer. You can read about them in their press release.

Pros

  • Powerful conversation intelligence
  • Detailed recording and transcription
  • Powerful CRM integrations

Cons

  • Getting started takes longer than other tools
  • No free trial

Pricing

Gong pricing is available upon request after filling in a form. I did it twice and didn’t get a response.

5. ZoomInfo Sales

Best for: Enterprise companies with high-stakes sales activities

G2 Rating: 4.5/5 (8,800+ Reviews)

ZoomInfo is a top-rated sales intelligence and B2B data provider that supports GMT and sales teams to find the right people to contact, add them to the pipeline and close deals.

If you’ve never heard of ZoomInfo as an AI sales tool, you’ve definitely come across it when searching for someone’s email or phone number online. For over a decade, ZoomInfo has been one of the top results for this kind of data.

All that data is available inside the ZoomInfo platform for sales, marketing, recruiting and operations. If Apollo has a big database, ZoomInfo surpasses it.

AI sales tools - ZoomInfo Sales

So, how does AI come into the picture in ZoomInfo? In 2024, they added Copilot, the AI-powered version of ZoomInfo.

ZoomInfo Copilot for Sales has totally transformed ZoomInfo. Now, sales reps have boundless amounts of knowledge to help them communicate and engage with contacts without any guesswork.

AI sales tools - ZoomInfo Sales

These are some of the deal intelligence actions Copilot can take to help ZoomInfo Sales users:

  • Personalized target account digests
  • Account prioritization
  • Profiling decision-makers and buyer groups
  • Fast insights with account summaries
  • Quick answers with Copilot chat
  • AI email generator fueled by real data
  • Conversation intelligence

With ZoomInfo’s new and improved AI-powered identity, it’s quickly becoming a strong contender in the GTM space. This is definitely a tool to keep an eye on.

Regarding customer experience, I can personally say that ZoomInfo had the best approach.

Reps from several other tools on this list tried to call me and emailed me generic pitches after I signed up for free trials.

But ZoomInfo was the most personalized and actually asked questions.

I had a multi-email conversation with Noah, who gave me all the info I needed to write an honest review for this guide. He was so thorough that I didn’t even need to do the free trial in the end.

Pros

  • Largest contact database available
  • Deep contact information insights and filtering
  • Amazing customer experience

Cons

  • According to Artisan and its review sources, the database is mostly US-based and lacks valuable information for other regions.
  • The best AI tools are add-ons and cost more.

Pricing

ZoomInfo pricing is so varied that you need to get in touch with pricing specialists and have a call before they can tell you what your ideal pricing would be.

6. Clari

Best for: Mid-market to Enterprise Revenue Orchestration

G2 Rating: 4.6/5 (5500+ Reviews)

Clari is an award-winning AI-powered Revenue Orchestration Platform.

Their main value proposition is that you don’t need any additional tools or integrations once you get started with Clari.

This differs from other AI sales tools that aren’t CRMs; you usually have to connect with a CRM to get the full potential.

In the image below, you can see all the levels of knowledge and how they’re layered inside the Clari environment.

AI sales tools - Clari

Clari doesn’t offer a free trial, so I watched a demo webinar with Ava Kavelle, who explains every aspect of the Clari environment.

The screenshot below shows the pipeline management dashboard with color-coded tabs for quick recognition of lead status. This is also where AI-led scoring comes in. Next to each account name are several scoring tabs to help reps know exactly how close that account is to being won.

Clari also boasts powerful forecasting. Ava said the system can forecast sales and closing results in just two weeks of starting a campaign. The visuals they offer for forecasting include expected results if sales reps continue as they are or improve their performance.

Furthermore, Clari also has an AI Assistant called Copilot that can take several actions to help reps. For example:

  • Provides real-time deal insights during customer conversations.
  • It has ongoing automatic CRM updates from emails and calls.
  • Detects revenue-leak risks for deals in the pipeline.
  • Recommends the next best action according to pipeline status and sales forecasting.
  • Has AI-powered call recording and analysis to coach clients during their conversations.

Pros

  • Doesn’t rely on manual entry; it’s an out-of-the-box solution with instant time to value.
  • Offers predictive AI capabilities that improve over time.
  • Exists as a unified platform; no need to jump between tools.

Cons

  • No free trial or freemium tier.
  • Best suited for teams with established sales processes

Pricing

Clari pricing is based on request.

7. Visme AI

Best for: AI-powered sales enablement content creation for teams of any size

G2 Rating: 4.5/5 (450+ Reviews)

Visme is an AI-powered content creation platform where sales teams can create all sorts of visual content to help with lead generation, lead nurturing and pipeline management.

The idea is to connect with your existing sales platform, either through one of Visme’s native integrations or automated workflow you create yourself.

Sales reps, ABM marketers or account executives working inside a CRM or revenue orchestration platform can seamlessly add Visme to their processes.

Plenty of sales professionals appreciate Visme’s ease of use for creating high-quality designs even without design skills.

That’s exactly why Ashley G., Director of Sales and Digital Engagement, shared:

“Visme has been an incredibly important resource for me. Extremely user-friendly! I can eliminate the headache and demands of learning Adobe without a background in design.”

Visme’s AI Hub comes packed with numerous AI-powered tools to help your sales team make visual content creation a breeze. For optimal results, start with a visual identity or style that will direct the design for all the sales material.

Use the Brand Wizard to train the Visme editor with visual data about your company or campaign. It will collect the logo, colors and fonts to create a brand kit, a set of cohesive templates and color themes.

Pro Tip: Keep a different workspace for each campaign when visual identities are very different.

Visme AI Designer

With Visme’s AI Design Generator, sales professionals (even the ones without design skills) can design and edit visual and branded sales collateral like proposals, pitch decks, product sheets, battlecards and more.

The video below showcases all the possibilities within the tool.

To start with the AI Designer, click the Create button on the dashboard, select “Generate with AI,” and follow the steps in the chatbot.

The AI will ask several questions about your project and then ask if you’d like to apply any brand assets to it. If you say yes, the assistant pulls up the brand data from your workspace and you choose which ones to apply.

a GIF of using AI design generator to create interactive content

After generating your project with Visme AI, the design opens in the drag-and-drop editor, which also has AI features for customizing and personalizing the content.

  • AI text-to-speech feature to add an audio recording to any ad or informational video.
  • AI edit tools that help finesse images and visuals in your sales assets.
  • An AI writer to generate and optimize sales content like catchphrases and explanations.
  • The AI image generator quickly creates images and graphics using just words and your imagination.
  • The AI resize tool turns any content into a different dimension for other channels and uses.

To access these tools, open the AI Hub in the bottom left corner of the editor.

Edit Templates With AI

One more AI tool worth mentioning is Visme's Edit With AI feature. Many of the pre-made sales material templates can be edited with AI in three different ways:

  • Uploading a file or URL
  • Answering questions
  • Describing the project manually

Using the same template as above, I chose to answer the questions. The AI assistant asked for detailed information to help it generate the presentation using the design.

Furthermore, Visme also offers:

Using Visme and Salesforce Together

Aside from Visme’s practical AI features and comprehensive content creation platform, where it truly shines for sales teams, is the integration with Salesforce.

There are two main ways that this integration works:

  1. You connect Visme to your Salesforce instance, where you can link specific projects to opportunities/deals and view Visme Analytics results in your Salesforce opportunity dashboard.
  2. You connect specific templates to your opportunities. Then, using Dynamic Fields, add specific information like pricing/number of users/names/company record, etc. This will dynamically populate the template and create customized presentations or digital documents to share with your prospects/clients.

Check out this interactive presentation that explains the Salesforce + Visme integration in detail.

Other Practical Features Inside Visme

Pros

  • No design skills required to create professional sales materials.
  • Extensive template library specifically for sales teams.
  • More affordable than hiring designers.
  • Multi-format export (PDF, PNG, JPG, MP4, HTML)

Cons

  • It’s not a CRM.
  • Some AI-generated content requires editing.

Pricing

  • Basic: Free
  • Starter: $12.25/month/user
  • Pro: $24.75/month/user
  • Enterprise: Custom, upon request

How to Choose the Right AI Sales Tools

Choosing the right AI sales tool for your business is critical to getting the results you seek. There are several aspects to consider, like your team size, your budget and your overall goals.

All throughout the process, take into account what Drew Logan, sales leader at Medtronic suggests:

“If you can marry the technology capabilities with what your priorities are, it'll put you in a position to prioritize which AI applications you go after first.”

Let’s discuss how you can do that without wasting months on the wrong tool.

Step 1: Audit Your Sales Workflow

The first step, before even looking at demos, is to figure out where your team’s time is being wasted and what is causing them to lose deals. An initial audit is important, so you don’t end up with tools that don’t solve your issues.

Take a week to track these scenarios:

  • How much time do your reps spend on data entry vs. actually selling and closing?
  • How long does it take to research a prospect before outreach begins?
  • What percentage of your success forecast is accurate?
  • What is making deals stall?
  • Where do leads fall through the cracks?

Document all findings to uncover your biggest pain point. This will also help you set clear goals.

Step 2: Define Your Sales Goals

What are the most impactful goals for your sales team? Is it outbound volume? Forecast accuracy? Deal velocity? Or win rates?

Pick 2-3 use cases that align with your goals. When you’re considering the right tool that will help you achieve those objectives, consider that AI can do almost anything, but you don’t need everything.

Focus on the areas that will move revenue the fastest. Here are some ideas:

  • Automatic lead scoring or qualification to figure out which leads are worth your time.
  • Data enrichment to stop manually searching for emails and phone numbers.
  • Outreach personalization to write unique emails to hundreds of prospects without spending tons of time on writing each one.
  • Call analysis to understand what works and what doesn’t in your sales calls.
  • Forecast accuracy to get data-backed ideas about what will or won’t close.

Once you know the most important impact areas, choosing the right tool will be easier.

Step 3: Evaluate Your Resources

Now, be brutally honest about what your team can handle and what your budget looks like. The most expensive and elaborate tool might be overkill, or your team might be too small to implement it well.

Regarding people and technical resources, ask yourself these questions:

  • Will your team members need training to use the tool?
  • Does the tool require developers to build the systems?
  • Is the setup complicated, or can you do it yourself?

Secondly, in terms of budget and costs, consider these things:

  • Do you need to test the tool on a free tier first?
  • Can you afford to pay more than $500 per seat per month?
  • Does your company have the funds to pay for training?

For instance, if you have a 5-person team with no specialized admin, Salesforce Enterprise will eat up your budget. But if you run a 100-person org with complex sales processes, Apollo will never be enough.

Step 4: Map Your Needs to the Matrix

Now that you know your pain points and constraints, this matrix will help you decide which tool to try from this guide. You’ll notice that Visme isn’t on the matrix. That’s because you’ll need Visme alongside whichever tool you choose.

Here’s a quick explanation of how to view and use the matrix.

Upper Left (Simple + Comprehensive): HubSpot

  • Choose if: You want everything in one place without complexity
  • Team size: Small to mid-market (1-50 reps)

Lower Left (Complex + Comprehensive): Salesforce & Clari

  • Choose if: You need enterprise power and have resources for setup
  • Team size: 50+ reps with dedicated admins
  • Salesforce: Traditional CRM that does everything
  • Clari: Newer, AI-first revenue orchestration

Upper Right (Simple + Specialized): Apollo.io

  • Choose if: You just need better prospecting or have a CRM already
  • Team size: Any (great free tier)

Lower Right (Complex + Specialized): Gong & ZoomInfo

  • Choose if: You need world-class capability in one specific area
  • Team size: Mid-market to enterprise
  • Gong: Best-in-class conversation intelligence
  • ZoomInfo: Best-in-class contact database

Step 5: Testing

Most tools have free trials. Test a couple of them by giving reps access and having them run a few workflows from start to finish.

Ask your testing reps to time how long tasks take, connect integrations and note where friction happens. Collect concrete feedback on their experience and ask for more detailed demos if necessary.

With all the audit data and real-time information, you’re ready to settle on one tool and get your whole sales team set up.

How to Interact With AI Assistants for Better Sales Results

Using AI for sales is changing fast. Modern AI sales tools don't wait for perfect prompts; they ask you questions or offer forms to fill and guide you through the process.

Most AI sales assistants (like HubSpot's Breeze, Salesforce's Agentforce, or Apollo's AI) work more like helpful colleagues than simple search engines or content generators. It’s more like they interview you to understand what you need, then deliver results.

As Ruben Hassid, one of the most influential AI voices, explains in his latest Substack:

"This is not about the right prompt, this 'magical series of words that somehow makes everything better and smarter'. Spoiler alert, it does not (really) work that way. This is all about the right context."

Tips for Interacting With AI Assistants

Not all AI assistants are the same, but many of them are so advanced that you don’t even have to write the context in the prompt window; it will provide toggles or ask specific questions.

There are two main actions an AI assistant will do:

  • Help you with the information you need about the platform you’re in.
  • Generate content like an email, call summary, or insights on your sales cycle and metrics.

Don’t overthink it, follow Ruben’s advice: "Say what you want, and then have a chat with AI."

So, when the AI asks you questions:

  • Answer with specifics: "VP of Marketing at 200-500 employee B2B SaaS companies in North America" beats "marketing people"
  • State your constraints: "They need to decide by the end of Q1" or "Budget is under $50k"
  • Share what matters most: "Speed to implement is more important than features," or "We need to show ROI within 60 days."
  • Don't skip follow-ups: When AI asks for clarification, it's trying to help you provide better context

And when you’re filling context forms for the AI assistant to work with:

  • Complete all fields: More context = better output.
  • Be specific about your audience: Include their role, company size, industry and typical pain points.
  • State your actual goal: "Book a demo" is different from "Get a reply," which is different from "Nurture for the future."
  • Define your tone and brand voice: Don't just say "professional," be specific: "conversational but confident," "data-driven and direct," "friendly without being overly casual," or "consultative, like a trusted advisor."
  • Provide brand voice examples: If your company has a distinct voice, give examples: "We sound like [competitor/brand]" or "Our brand is more [adjective] than [adjective]"
  • Mention past results: "Our best-performing cold emails are under 100 words" or "Prospects respond well to data/stats."

Common Prompting Mistakes to Avoid

These are the most common mistakes you can make when talking to an AI assistant.

  • Not providing enough context: AI doesn't know your business, customers or past conversations unless you tell it.
  • Expecting perfection on first try: With AI assistants, it’s a conversation, not a one-shot command.
  • Treating AI output as final: Always review, edit and add personal touches.
  • Ignoring the conversation: If the AI asks follow-up questions, answer them; it's trying to understand your context.
  • Not testing different approaches: Ask the AI for 2-3 versions and see what resonates.

Best AI Sales Tools FAQs

According to G2, Salesforce is the best and highest-rated AI sales tool. But it might not be the best for you if you have a small team. In that case, other tools like Apollo.io, HubSpot or Clay are better options.

Then again, for visual sales collateral, your best option is Visme AI, which lets you generate all sorts of sales content and integrate it into your Salesforce or HubSpot environment.

The highest-rated and fully automated AI sales tool is Clari, a powerful platform that spans all revenue actions for your organization.

The quality of your AI outputs depends on the quality of your prompts. There are five elements that all good prompts have. Here they are, explained through an example of how to prompt the generation of a follow-up email.

  1. Set the role: “You are a B2B sales rep selling [product] to [audience].
  2. Provide context: Include prospect details, pain points and previous interactions.
  3. State your goal: Be specific, “Write a follow-up email to book a demo.”
  4. Define constraints: Include data points, pricing, differentiators or any relevant details.

AI can generate leads by finding the ones that best align with your ICP, capture them, nurture them and help your sales reps close deals with them.

Yes, AI can replace sales reps but it’s not recommended for all action points. In fact, Gartner Research forecasts that by 2030, 75% of B2B buyers will prefer sales experiences that prioritize human interaction over AI.

Use Visme AI Tools to Supercharge Your Projects

AI in sales isn’t going away. And yes, the 10x Rep is something to aspire to, but it’s just not going to be easy if your team isn’t set up for it.
