Suraj Singh is the founder of CloudBooks, an online invoicing and billing software. As an entrepreneur who is always looking to raise brand awareness through visually engaging marketing material, he found himself one day conducting online research for a better tool to create presentations, infographics and other effective visual content.
He came across Visme and was very much impressed with the way it allowed him to create eye-catching and easy-to-understand visual content for his press releases, blog and social media campaigns. We had a chance to interview Suraj, and here is what he had to say about Visme in his own words:
CloudBooks is an app that allows anyone to manage their online invoicing with style. It has all the features you need and none that you don't: Invoicing, estimates, client management, staff, contractors and time tracking--all in one easily accessible web application.
I am CEO and founder of CloudBooks, which is my first start startup as an entrepreneur. We started CloudBooks in May 2014.
While there are lots of options available on the market, I recognized the need for an invoicing and billing software that was easy to use, comprehensive and affordable. There were plenty of users out there who were not very happy with their invoicing software and were looking for a better option.
So, we started thinking about coming up with an integrated invoicing software that could be used without a steep learning curve. The core objective was to build a billing and invoicing solution that helps its users make smarter business decisions. We began by thoroughly analyzing the needs of target customers to determine invoicing pain points.
The result of our indefatigable efforts was CloudBooks, a hassle-free accounting solution that allows users to stay on top of their billing and invoicing cycles.
I found Visme after conducting some online researching to find the best tool for my needs. I came to the conclusion that Visme is a great tool for marketing and creating presentations and infographics. We use it daily for our marketing material, and it has really saved us a lot of time and resources.
I created this project, which we used for a social media campaign. The fonts, backgrounds and icons available within Visme helped me to quickly design a project that was consistent with our visual brand identity.
I also put together this short presentation, which we also posted on our blog to increase engagement and visual interest.

I would have to say that one of the things I like the most about Visme is the wide selection of infographic templates. I also like the fact that I can edit images by cropping them or overlaying text.
